Kicking Hotties That Have Graced the Silver Screen

It’s true that men usually like to take charge, but there’s something intriguing about a woman that can really take care of herself (and quite possibly kick your ass).

In fact, it’s down right sexy.

We’ve seen plenty on film that prove it.

Ellen Ripley in Alien (1979), Aliens (1986), Alien 3 (1992), and Alien Resurrection (1997)

The series is set in the early 22nd century and Ellen Ripley (played by Sigourney Weaver) and her crew encounter the wickedest aliens every depicted on screen. She’s even good at alien murder as a heavy equipment operator.

Sarah Connor in The Terminator (1984) and Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991)

In the first movie, The Terminator, Sarah Connor (played by Linda Hamilton) is defending herself and her son John against the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger). In the second movie, a new Terminator is on her side, but a newer more powerful Terminator is trying to kill Sarah (again). You might say she has a little baggage.

Supergirl in Supergirl (1984)

Superman’s cousin from Krypton, Supergirl (played by Helen Slater) needs to locate and recover the Omegahedron, which is a source of immense power, as it’s in the hands of an evil witch. And you thought your cousin was hot.

Red Sonja in Red Sonja (1985)In this 1985 fantasy film, Red Sonja (played by Bridget Nielsen) is setting out with her magic sword to overthrow the evil villain Gerdren. Insert “magic sword” jokes here.

Barbara “Barb Wire” Kopetski in Barb Wire (1996)

It’s the 21st century and the United States is in the middle of a second Civil War. Barbara Kopetski (played by Pamela Anderson), a bounty hunter and bar owner, finds herself flung into the middle of the Civil War, as well as a see-through bubble bath.

Trinity in The Matrix (1999)

The Matrix is set in the time period late in the 22nd century about a select few humans are fighting a war started by intelligent machines. Trinity (played by Carrie-Ann Moss) is one of the human warriors in the fight to keep us awake, all in sexy leather to boot.

(2000) The Charlie’s Angels

You’d better believe in angels, ’cause heaven does exist: Charlie’s Angels. Lucy Lui played Alex Munday, Drew Barrymore played the part of Dylan Sanders, and Cameron Diaz played Natalie Cook, all hotty dectectives.

Yu Shu Lien in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000)

Yu Shu Lien (played by Michelle Yeoh) is on a quest to recover an ancient, powerful sword. She’ll make you crouch like a tiger before she demands your, ahem, hidden dragon.

Lara Croft in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) and Lara CroftTomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (2003)

Lara Croft (Angelina Jolie) is a collector of ancient artifacts who just happens to be skilled in hand-to-hand combat and weapons. She also goes through a lot of dangerous situations in various form fitting outfits that do Angelina, and Lara Croft, bouncy justice.

Alice in Resident Evil (2002), Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004), and Resident Evil: Extinction (2007)

The Resident Evil films blend science fiction & horror, starring Milla Jovovich as Alice. Zombie brains get splattered thanks to a sweaty, gun-toting Milla makes us think twice about wanting to eat her brains.

Elektra in Daredevil (2003) and Elektra (2005)

Elektra (played by Jennifer Garner) might have been a lets-forget-we-even-made-that superhero flick based on the Daredevil supporting character, but we all still watched Jennifer’s boobs and bangs tease us as the deadly vixen kicked ninja ass.

Jade in Bulletproof Monk (2003) - (Warning! Spoiler in the description)

Someone must guard an ancient scroll that contains ultimate power scroll for sixty years. During this time, that person can’t age or be killed. At the end of the term, the scroll passes to a new protector. Jade (played by Jamie King) earns the role to be co-protector of the scroll (and looks great doing it).

T-X in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003)

Kristanna Loken plated the role of T-X, the female villain Terminator in the movie Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Sex with deadly robots? I’d take my chances.

Catwoman in the movie Catwoman (2004)

While Michelle Pfeiffer still makes us purr, Halle Berry got down and dirty as the reincarnation of Catwoman clawed its way across the screen.

AEon Flux in AEon Flux (2005)

Charlize Theron a futuristic assassin in the movie AEon Flux, set in the year 2415. Still crossing the days off the calender.

Jane Smith in Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005)

Jane (Angelina Jolie) and John (Brad Pitt) are lovers who don’t even know about one another being an assassin until they each get a shocking assignment. He is to kill her and she is to kill him. I’d eat a bullet sandwich to be in that predicament.

Violet in Ultraviolet (2006)

Violet (played by Milla Jovovich) plays a killing machine infected with a disease called hemoglophagia that made her into an evil being. Make sure to wear a bag.

Elizabeth Swann in Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End (2007)

It took her awhile to get around to the swordplay, but once she did it was all about business (and business was good). Would be totally worth all of the foreplay as well.

As long as we have the need to watch faces getting kicked in, and listen to the voices in our “other” head talking, Hollywood will be there to give us bad-ass gals for us to gawk at. And we thank you, Hollywood, for all of their glory. Bloody, sweaty glory.
